Jo started making music at the age of eight, playing drums in the local music club and later in the school band. With ten he discovered the musical possibilities of computers and, inspired by Electro and Breakbeat tunes, he started programming his own music using a 8-track sequencer. Some of these tracks were very respected in the Atari/Amiga computer scene and won various competitions. Growing up in the 90s, Jo fell in love with rave and electronic dance music and released some, of the over 100 tracks he produced, on tape and CD. Later he studied audio engineering and started making professional music. He worked for several music and commercial studios as an engineer and producer, hereby deepening his skills in recording, mixing and mastering. Later Jo founded ‘MiNDWORKS Studios’ where he produces his own tracks and moreover jingles for TV and radio stations. He also makes remixes for friends and finally started DJing. His show ‘MAXXIMUM MUSIC’ is recorded there as well. Because of his broad background, Jo’s productions feature a wide variety of style and techniques. His creative works and open-minded sounds make him a perfectionist in producing innovative and stirring tracks. Jo mainly pursues the genres of trance, electro, house and progressive.
